    Mercy Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Welcomes New Providers

    Mercy Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, led by Dr. Elvira Aguila, has welcomed new providers to its Portland practice: Dr. William Pease and Dr. Vu Ho. 

     
    “Dr. Pease and Dr. Ho are excellent additions to our team.  They bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience in Pulmonary Disease management and Sleep Disorder treatment. It is fantastic to have them join our expanding team,” explained Dr. Aguila. “Both providers value building lasting relationships with patients in order to create effective healthcare plans, as do all members of our team.  Our goal is to better our patient’s lives through comprehensive and compassionate care.”    
     
    Vu U. Ho, MD, received his Doctor of Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA in 2006. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Boston University/Boston Medical Center in 2013. He completed an additional year of research training in Pulmonary Disease at Boston University in 2014. Dr. Ho is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care. He is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
     
    William V. Pease received his Doctor of Osteopathy from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO in 2002. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois and served as Chief Resident from 2005 to 2006. Dr. Pease then trained as a Fellow in Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine and a member of the American College of Chest Physicians. He also has Endobronchial Ultrasound Guided Biopsy (EBUS) training.
     
    Mercy Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is located at Mercy’s State Street Campus at 144 State Street, 3 Floor, Portland, ME. The department hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday’s 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   To schedule an appointment, please call (207) 879 -3481.
